Carefully crafted to have the ideal balance of sweetness coupled with a piquant vinegar hit that this Chinese takeaway favourite is well-loved for. Sweet & Sour Sauce is perfect served with everything from pork and chicken, to scampi, tofu and even drizzled over a simple supper of rice and veg.
Add one part concentrate (100g) to three parts hot water (300g), bring to the boil and simmer on the hob for approximately 2 minutes whilst stirring continuously for the perfect Sweet & Sour sauce.
Make into a tasty dish or use as an ingredient in a multitude of different dishes.
Ingredients: Sugar 50%, Tomato Puree 10%, Vegetable Oil (Rapeseed Oil, Anti Foaming Agent (E900)), Modified Maize Starch, Fortified Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Calcium Carbonate, Iron, Niacin, Thiamin), Malt Vinegar 5% (Barley Malt Vinegar, spirit vinegar, acidity regulator: acetic acid), Salt, Thickener: Cellulose Gum, Citric Acid, Preservative: Acetic Acid, Red Beet Juice, Colour: Carotene (E160a (iii)).
